Picking up three valuable points away to RB Leipzig yesterday, Bundesliga side Cologne debuted what was later identified as the club's sixth(!) kit this season.
Having already worn three regular home, away and third uniforms, as well as a special Europa League home kit and another retro-inspired one-off design, Köln used a makeshift black shirt and shorts in order to avoid what could have been a mild kit clash against Leipzig's white and red.
If we're being pedantic, it's actually the seventh(!) kit Köln wore this season, after they dressed up in last season's third kit against Augsburg back in September.
The latest Erima Köln 2017-18 kit, worn against Leipzig, is the only one of seven not available to buy through the club, something that is unlikely to change between now and the end of the season. If a fan went ahead and bought all other six shirts Köln wore this season, it would have set him or a her back EUR 480 (USD 592, GBP 422).
It's certainly a bold way to say goodbye from Erima, who are getting replaced by Uhlsport next season.
