Big Suprise: Indonesia Agrees Deal With Local Brand Mills - No Nike & Warrix!

The Football Association of Indonesia has announced that it has reached a supply agreement with Mills Sport, an Indonesian sportswear manufacturer, to replace Nike as its equipment supplier.

No More Nike: Warrix Indonesia 2020 Home Kit + Green Third Kit - Supporters, Replica & Authentic Versions

The deal with Mills comes by surprise as Thai company Warrix was expected to become the nation's new jersey supplier. However, the Chairman of PSSI (Football Association of Indonesia), Mochamad Iriawan revealed, that "local products are preferred" and that the Mills deal is more favorable for the Football Association of Indonesia.

Mills already released the Indonesia 2020 training jerseys, which were used by their players before the coronavirus stopped all football globally.

"We officially chose Mills as the Indonesian national team apparel starting this year. This election is through careful consideration and Mills's commitment to support the Indonesian national team," PSSI Chairman Mochammad Iriawan said in his official statement.

"Besides Mills, the original product of Indonesia. We support President Jokowi's government program to elevate MSMEs and local products. It is proven that the quality of our local products is not inferior to apparels from America and Europe. With this trust, we hope that the products of the nation's children can go global. Hopefully the cooperation this went well and the Indonesian national team won an achievement," he added.

The Mills 2020 Indonesia kit is set to be released very soon.
