Some weeks ago, we reported that Dani Alves returned after a long injury wearing Adidas x football boots instead of his usual choice, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 360. Now Dani Alves made his first matches, wearing boots from both Adidas and Nike as well as an interesting custom taped Adidas X 18+.

In his first match after injury, Dani Alves debuted an unusual wearing method of wearing the Adidas X 18+, taping his laceless boots for more lockdown. It is something we have not seen before.
In the UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool on November 28, Dani Alves wore the the latest Adidas X 18+ colorway from the Initiator Pack, without the tape.
However, Dani Alves surprisingly laced up in the Nike Mercurial Vapor 12 Elite football boots In the Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux on December 2 and in the Ligue 2 match against RC Strasbourg on December 5. He also trained int he Nike Mercurial Vapor 12 ahead of today's Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.
With Dani Alves' recent boot choices, it is unknown what exactly his contract situation is like currently. It just seems to be certain that he does not have a deal with Nike or Adidas either.
