The FIFA Equipment Regulations regulate the equipment worn in all FIFA competitions, including the World Cup and Club World Cup. The FIFA Council approved these regulations on October 3, 2024. They took effect on January 1, 2025, replacing the 2022 FIFA Equipment Regulations.
FIFA 2025 Equipment Regulations

The FIFA 2025 Equipment Regulations maintain most, if not all, core regulations. Upon initial review, Footy Headlines has not identified any other significant changes from the previous version. No new rule will certainly affect kits in the future, despite those already in place for several years.
What has been updated by FIFA are the visuals to showcase the rules and provide examples, such as the team names and symbols.
