The new Chicago Fire 2014 Third Jersey was designed by local architect Freddy Christiano, who won the Chicago Fire Third Kit design contest one year ago. Made by Adidas and sponsored by The Quaker Oats Company, Freddy Christiano's design incorporates the city flag as well as the iconic Chicago skyline.

This is the design of the new Chicago Fire 2014 Third Jersey.
The new black Chicago Fire 2014 Third Jersey features a asymmetrical design with light blue / white right sleeves and a black left sleeves. The new black Chicago Fire Kit has a black v-collar as well as a white horizontal line on the back.
The shirt features a light blue and white stripe rising up the front of the shirt, signifying the Chicago skyline. The stars of the Chicago flag are placed on the right sleeve.
It is also the first kit to feature the new MLS 2014 Logo, while it uses the club specific version of the new MLS 2014 Crest.
The black Chicago Fire 2014 Third Kit was determined via a fan vote from five possible shirt designs.
