The new Schalke 2016-17 home jersey introduces an understated design that includes two shades of blue. Released on April 25, the Adidas-produced Schalke 16-17 kit will be debuted in the club's last Bundesliga home game of this season, against Augsburg on May 7.
With only a new home shirt, the Königsblauen (Royal Blues) carry over their 2015-16 away and third kits.
Schalke 16-17 Home Kit
This is the new Schalke 2016-2017 home jersey.
Inspired by iconic Schalke jerseys from the 1970s, the new Schalke kit is predominantly royal blue. The new Schalke 16-17 home shirt features a faux polo collar, similar to the Colombia 2016 jersey. It is mostly navy blue, while the inside boasts white and bright blue trim and a 'Wir leben dich' write-off.
Other than that, the Schalke 2016-17 kit is kept very simple and clean, with a dominant gradient from royal blue at the top towards navy at the bottom. The Adidas Performance, Schalke and Gazprom logos are visible on the front of the new Schalke shirt in white.
White shorts with navy applications and royal blue socks complete the classic blue, white and blue look of the German club.
Available to buy from May 4, the Schalke 16-17 jersey retails at €90, a €10 increase from last season.
Schalke 16-17 Away and Third Kits
Schalke carries over both the away and third kits from last season.
As usual, Schalke does not change the kits released ahead of this season. Therefore, the Schalke 15-16 away kit becomes the new Schalke 16-17 away kit, and Schalke's 15-16 third kit is the new Schalke 16-17 third kit.
