We have news from the German 2. Bundesliga as Karlsruher SC have announced a kit design contest. They want fans and amateur designers to submit their visions for the club's 2023-24 third shirt.
Kit Contest for 23-24 Third Jersey
KSC have already opened the entry phase of their kit design contest. They want particapants (anyone can participate) to design them a suitable third shirt for the 2023-24 season, but there are certain parameters.
Firstly, the proposed designs will obviously have to abide by the DFL's kit regulations. Another condition is that the shirt heavily features yellow and red, the colors of Karlruhe's region, Baden.
Looking back at previous years shows that KSC have been doing this regularly. Due to DFL regulations, the shirt will not be allowed to feature any blue or white, since these will be used for the other two 23-24 kits.
Moreover, designs must of course incorporate the pre-defined sponsor logos, which are already included in the blank Macron KSC template. The placement of these cannot be altered.
All designs must be submitted by June 3, 2022, after which a jury made up of Macron and KSC representatives as well as players decides on a selection of possible winners. According to the club all entries will be taken into consideration.
At the beginning of July 2022, the selection of best designs will be sent to the DFL for verification. KSC have already warned that some very nice designs may be denied during this process.
After confirmation through the DFL is granted, fans will get to vote on the Karlsruhe 23-24 third kit from 3 final options. The vote and result will occur this July.
