You may have noticed during the release season that, as always, many Adidas teams seem to feature the same graphics on their kits. This is of course no coincedence, so let us look at why it keeps on happening.
Adidas' Repeating Designs
For as long as there have been football kits, brands have been streamlining designs, with many aspects carrying over from team to team. This is no different during the current football shirt era, with every season presenting new repeating graphics.
For certain graphic options, such as stripes or hoops, the designs are not unique enough to warrant a discussion regarding reused designs. However, when it comes to more more 'unique' graphics, the repetition draws away from their individual aspect.

As the kit release season progresses, these more unique graphics start to draw attention for the fact that they keep appearing over different leagues and clubs.
The root of the problem is the customization servive called Locker Room (formerly mi Team), which offers a wide range of customizable options. At some point, there are bound to be similar uses of the same graphics, leading to twinned designs.

A lot of the unique graphics draw more attention to their style and not the exact colors that are used.
