The new Manchester City 17-18 home kit was finally officially released this morning as Nike announced it was inspired by the 1967-68 league title-winning uniform.
Made by Nike and featuring Etihad Airways as main sponsor, the Manchester City 2017-18 home kit features maroon in a less prominent role than earlier leaks suggested. Besides Etihad, the new Manchester City jersey will also have Nexen Tire's logo on the sleeves in the league after the club became the first Premier League team to sign a sleeve sponsorship deal.

Predominantly sky blue, it's a safe bet that the Manchester City 17-18 shirt will be popular with club's supporter base. Whereas the last Man City jersey had navy sleeves, those of the Manchester City 2017-18 home kit are just a bit darker than the shirt, resulting in a much cleaner overall look.
Template-wise, the Manchester City 2017-2018 home kit is based on a slightly updated edition of Nike's Vapor template, which features subtle changes to the lateral insets as well as to the knit pattern on the sleeves.
The white used for logos on the previous Manchester City home shirt is swapped for blue, while white appears in the form of the lateral insets and a line around the neck.
A move that is certain to please all City fans, the Manchester City 17-18 kit returns to white shorts and sky blue socks, with the latter featuring a maroon stripe around the calf.
The Manchester City 17-18 shirt was released on May 31 after the initially scheduled launch was delayed.
