Liverpool's Alexander-Arnold Wears Odd Boots in Premier League vs Nottingham - Here Is What They Are

Liverpool's star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been sporting a unique pair of football shoes in Liverpool's 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest this afternoon. Let us find out what they are - the boots are for a good cause.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Wears One-Off Wings for Life World Run Soccer Boots

Trent Alexander-Arnold's boots combine a white upper with navy blue, yellow, and red. On the outstep is the logo of the Wings for Life World Run, which is the whole reason and inspiration of the boots.

The Wings for Life World Run is a running competition held on the first weekend of May since 2014 to collect funds for the not-for-profit foundation Wings for Life. The entry fee goes completely to Spinal Cord Research. It became the largest running event in 2021 with 184,236 runners participating in one single event. Wings for Life was initiated by Red Bull, who are also a sponsor of Alexander-Arnold.

Unfortunately, while the idea is a great one, the execution is surely suboptimal. It was impossible to read the logo during the game, which was simply printed on the cleats. It certainly would have been better to just have a special Wings for Life World Run text on them.

The execution could have been better

Tech-wise, Trent Alexander-Arnold's Wings for Life World Run 2023 football boots are based on the Under Armour Clone Magnetico Pro 2, his usual choice of footwear.

The special Under Armour Trent Alexander-Arnold football boots are not available to buy. One lucky winner who signs up for his team in this year's Wings for Life World Run App Run will receive them.

"After meeting Emerson Grant in 2020, I wanted to find ways to help spread awareness about Wings for Life. I want to get as many applicants to join my team as possible to raise money for Wings for Life to support their goal of finding a cure for spinal injuries," said Alexander-Arnold.
