The German brand, which will be a technical partner and sponsor of Braga, adds the Portuguese club to its wide range of teams that it currently covers, including Manchester City, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund.

António Salvador, president of Braga, underlined the important step taken by the club. "Puma recognized that this is a differentiated project and that this is a historic and perhaps unique moment. I appreciated the way in which Puma approached us, understanding that Sp. Braga is on a growth trajectory, not only in football, but in all its sporting and social dimension".

And he added: "We are going to inaugurate the entire sporting city of Sp. Braga soon. Puma understood the value of associating and committing itself to this new cycle in the history of our club. We have no doubt that the store that we are going to open will a great boost to the new joint project, but above all I felt at Puma the enthusiasm of serving not only our main men's team, but the entire universe of thousands of young athletes, boys and girls, that we have at the club".

This partnership, it should be noted, will extend to the marketing and brand engagement of the people of Braga.

Update: Braga has started an 80% discount on all Hummel items, indirectly confirming the switch to another supplier, in this case, Puma.

Valid From 23-24 Season: Puma Deal Financially Better Than Hummel for Braga

According to reports from Portugal, Braga has reached an agreement with Puma to sign a deal once their current agreement with Hummel expires in June 2023.

The new agreement will be financially better for the Portuguese side in a campaign where the club will play in the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2012/13 season.

The new deal is undoubtedly an upgrade from their previous contract which started 4 years ago.
