Are these the second generation of the low-cut Nike Magista Boot? A picture from LA Galaxy's training ground has found its way to Footy Headlines showing what is expected to be a blackout prototype of the next-gen Nike Magista Opus 2016-2017 Boots.
Set to be released after the Euro 2016 in France, the high-cut version of the next-gen Nike Magista Obra 2016 Soccer Boots has been already worn by FC Barcelona superstar Neymar in training. And while Neymar's Boot featured no visible brandings to hide the design of the highly confidential boots, the blackout boots spotted on the training pitch of LA Galaxy give us the first impression of how the next-gen Nike Magista Obra 2016-2017 Boot will look like.

These are almost certain the next-gen Nike Magista Opus 2016-2017 Boots.
The blackout Nike Magista Opus 2016 Prototype Boots (we assume that they are really the next-gen cleats for now and therefore call them Next-Gen Nike Magista Opus Prototype Boots in our article) boast a remarkable Honeycomb upper structure in the forefoot area that we already saw on the boots worn by Neymar almost four months ago. It is made for better ball control and reminds us of the upper structure used for the first-gen Nike Hypervenom.
However, whereas the next-gen Nike Magista Obra Boots worn by Neymar featured no external heel counter, the blackout Nike Magista Opus II 2016-2017 Cleat comes with an external counter, made for more stability. It also looks like that the next-gen Nike Magista Opus Boot again comes with a traditional stud configuration. However, the cleats look a bit more angled than the ones used for the first generation.
The next-gen Nike Magista Opus 2016 Boot also again comes with a traditional low-cut design. Unfortunately, it's impossible to verdict from the leaked picture if the boots have a traditional tongue. However, the leaked picture also gives us the first feeling of the design of the boots.
Boasting a remarkable large Swoosh on the outstep and a small Swoosh on the instep, the design of the cleats reminds us of the Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Boots. However, there is no info on the final design of the boots yet. Footy Headlines nevertheless already knows that the second-gen Nike Magista Boot will be again launched with a mainly Volt colorway that was already used for the famous launch colorway of the first generation.
But how certain is it that this was really the next-gen Nike Magista Opus Boot? As the blackout boot from the picture boasts a similar Honeycomb upper structure as the next-gen Nike Magista Obra Boots worn by Neymar, it's almost certain. However, it's impossible yet to say this with 100% certainty as there are no leaked pictures of the second-gen Nike Magista Opus Boots yet.
