The foundation of the world-famous heavy metal festival Wacken Open Air will have their logo on the kits of German 3. Liga club FC Carl Zeiss Jena, it has been announced by the club last week. The Wacken Foundation was founded by the organizers of the Wacken Festival and promotes bands and artists from the heavy metal scene.
The Wacken foundation is not a sponsor, as pointed out by the club, but gets the advertising space for free from the club backer and sponsor 'Heaven Shall Burn". The letter of the Thuringian heavy metal band "Heaven Shall Burn" will instead be found on the sleeves of the jerseys.
