Arsenal are set to have their first-ever sleeve sponsor from next year, it has been revealed.
New Emirates Deal Allows Arsenal to Have Sleeve Sponsor
The new Emirates Arsenal deal that was signed yesterday (worth 40 million GPB / season) allows the club to have an extra sleeve sponsor, an opportunity the club is set to seize in order to reduce the financial gap to clubs such as Manchester United. It is rumored that Arsenal will announce the sleeve sponsorship deal this week.
What sponsor would you like to see?! pic.twitter.com/zKqGojrInG— Arsenal Edits (@ArsenalEdits) February 19, 2018Sleeve sponsorship is generating around £8m for Chelsea and Manchester City. Manchester United’s training kit sponsor is worth £15m. The new Emirates Arsenal deal also includes the sponsorship of the training jersey and does not allow the club to have a special training shirt sponsor.
Arsenal's contract with their kit supplier Puma expires next season. With Manchester City having linked with Puma and their successes this season, it is very likely that Arsenal and Puma will go separate ways from Summer 2019.
