Many outfit choices at the 2022 FIFA World Cup have satisfied the expectations from fans, who want to see as much of their nations' original home kits as possible. However, Spaniards have not been so fortunate.
15 Teams to Only Use Home Kit in 2022 World Cup Group Stage
Spain to Wear All-Red in Every Group Match
What has happened to Spain's traditional navy shorts and socks? This question will possibly be puzzling football fans after the group stage.
The Spanish national team are famous for their red kit and navy/dark navy bottom half, however, we will not be seeing this combination at all during the group stage. There is no apparent reason for this either.
The best example for this is the upcoming match against Germany, who have taken the obvious choice to wear all-white as the designated away team. Spain, the home side in this scenario, could easily wear their red shirts and navy shorts and socks.
This will not be the case though. Instead, Spain will play in all-red and Germany in all-white, both sides not in their usual outfits. There was no kit clash to be avoided here, however.
Against Costa Rica, it was the same story. Spain were the designated home team, yet they wore their alternate red shorts and socks against the all-white Costa Ricans.
What do you think of Spain's unnecessary all-red outfit? Is Germany wearing all-white also unwarrented? Comment below.
