Update: Spurs has released a new picture that possibly shows the badge that will feature on the club's special-edition shirts that will be worn in the match against Wolves on 15 May 2021.
We expect the badge to feature in the center between the Swoosh and the club logo. The badge reads "100 Years Worn With Love".
Tottenham Hotspur have today started celebrating 100 years since the debut of the famous Cockerel crest on the club's shirts.
The cockerel crest was first worn on by Tottenham in the 1921 FA Cup Final against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 23rd April 1921.
the cockerel crest will feature on the inside collar of the 21-22 home kit
Various versions of the cockerel crest were used throughout the past 100 years and, most importantly, it will feature on the inside collar of the 21-22 home kit.
As part of the celebrations, which will culminate in the release of the 2021-22 Tottenham Hotspur home kit, which will take place on 15th May 2021, against Aston Villa, the club today changed their social media profile pictures to the 1921 crest.
The shirts worn by the players in the Aston Villa match will also feature an inscription about the 100th anniversary of the iconic logo.
The new home shirt itself pays homage to the original cockerel design, which is featured on the inner pride of the jersey. More on our 2021/22 Nike Home Kit will be revealed in the coming weeks - Tottenham Hotspur announcement.
