Hamburg to Lose Orthomol Shirt Sponsor - If They Get Promoted
HSV's New Shirt Sponsor
As first reported by Bild, Hamburger SV have apparently agreed upon a new main sponsor deal with HanseMerkur, an insurance company from Hamburg.
HanseMerkur, who were founded in 1875, are reportedly going to pay Hamburg 3 million Euros per season for the next three years, which is 1 million more than Orthomol did.
Most noteably, HanseMerkur are offering the club 6 million Euros a year if they reach the Bundesliga again. Perhaps this will add even more motivation for "Die Rothosen" to push for promotion towards the end of this season.
As things stand, Hamburg will have to step up their game, as they currently sit in 6th with a 6-point gap to third place in the table. They do however have a game in hand, with seven matchdays to go.
