Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj debuted unbranded Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boots in Manchester United's first pre-season friendly against Club America. The Belgian teenager was supposed to headline the totally new New Balance Furon Boots.
The Belgian international had worn a whiteout version of the Warrior Superheat Boots from late October 2014 until Summer 2015. Januzaj previously laced up in the Nike Mercurial Superfly and Nike Mercurial Vapor 10 Boots.

It was quite a surprise when Januzaj returned to pre-season training wearing a blackout version of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 10 Cleats despite the fact that New Balance and Januzaj just launched the brand-new New Balance Furon Boots.
The New Balance Furon Boots are made for players who take chances featuring a lightweight design with just two studs in the heel area.
However, it's reported that the New Balance Furon Cleats are stiff and uncomfortable, and independent testers such as former professional soccer player Bryan Byrne from SC101 recommend players to switch to the New Balance Visaro Boots. On the other hand, the New Balance Visaro are reported to be perform even better than the Hypervenom Phantom 1.
Interestingly, all players who were supposed to wear the New Balance Furon Boots (Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas and Adnan Januzaj) returned to pre-season wearing other boots than the white, red and blue New Balance Furon Cleats launch colorway. So it's very likely that Adnan Januzaj is having problems with his boots, but is still under contract with New Balance.
It seems like the New Balance Furon is just too bad to be used in professional matches, while the New Balance Visaro Cleat is definitely worth a try. Do you think we will see any players lacing up in the New Balance Furon Boots in the coming months? Let us know in the comments section below.
