Adidas or Umbro? Sheffield United to Get New Kit Maker

Sheffield United recently confirmed the end of its kit partnership with Italian sportswear brand ErreĆ . While the club has not yet officially announced a replacement, two major contenders have emerged to take over manufacturing duties at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United to Get Adidas or Umbro for 26-27 Season

It appears the Blades are currently deciding between Adidas and Umbro. A switch to Adidas would see the famous Three Stripes return to Sheffield United, reviving a long-term partnership that existed just prior to the ErreĆ  era.

Meanwhile, an agreement with Umbro would bring them together with a "home brand" and the brand the club had the longest in their history, but there is a downside. The Umbro brand is now operated by Castore in the UK market, and Castore is well known for having problems with quality. This means any potential deal would essentially be managed and distributed by Castore, utilizing the historic Umbro double diamond to deliver the club's new bespoke designs.
