Update - Feb 11, 2026: Following up on our report, Kappa and OGC Nice contacted us to deny any tensions, insisting the relationship between the two parties would be "in excellent shape." The brand would also not have been interested in making Saint-Etienne's kit.
The club would have closed the first half of the season with the highest kit supplier revenue in their history. Jersey sales would be up 25% year-on-year; however, the previous season was with Le Coq Sportif, which declared bankruptcy and can therefore not fully be counted.
Footy Headlines trusts both OGC Nice and Kappa, but also believes that at least some of the relationship problems existed, but that everything is on track again (for the time being).
OGC Nice Signs Kappa Kit Deal, Ending Partnership with Le Coq Sportif
Insiders described the relationship between OGC Nice and Kappa as "complicated", with Kappa losing money on the deal.
Hunting for a Giant
As per our source, Kappa is now reportedly desperate to sign a "bigger club", either in France or elsewhere in Europe.
Which big European club do you think would be a perfect fit for Kappa's designs? Let us know in the comments below.
