When FC Augsburg released new kits, not many outside the club's bubble took notice. However, this totally changed with the team's 2024-2025 third kit.
Augsburg was a city of the Roman Empire
The Augsburg 24-25 third kit, called the "Roman Kit," is inspired by the origins of the city of Augsburg being part of the Roman Empire. It combines a maroon red base with gold logos, plus a Roman-inspired pattern. This style is close to the kits of AS Roma, who got a maroon and gold 24-25 home kit.
The Augsburg 2024-25 third shirt has been launched with an intriguing campaign, featuring the old Roman name of Augsburg, Augusta Vindelicum.
The shirt sold out extremely fast. It has been the club's most demanded shirt so far, according to the club. To further hype the launch and offer fans an exclusive piece, Augsburg also released a limited-edition box.
FC Augsburg Limited Edition Third Kit Box
Priced at €179.95, the Roman look special box was limited to just 150 pieces, ensuring its status as a highly coveted item. The box itself is a work of art, featuring embossed lettering and a luxurious foam inlay. Inside, fans will find a gold metal plaque with a unique number, a piece of sandstone with a Roman inscription, and the standout piece - a gold glowing 1907 (rechargeable).
The attention to detail is simply astonishing. The inclusion of a sandstone with a Roman inscription adds a genuine historical touch, perfectly complementing the kit's theme. The gold glowing 1907 is a clever nod to the club's foundation year and provides a striking visual element.
Unsurprisingly, the limited edition box sold out almost instantly.
