According to a report by De Telegraaf, Feyenoord are set to announce a record-breaking kit deal with Castore "in the coming days."
Feyenoord x Castore Announcement Imminent
The potential deal between Castore and Feyenoord would be worth about €50 million over six years. Since the current contract with Adidas is still valid for another season, Castore would not join before 2023. This translates to just over €8 million per season, even ahead of the Europarcs main sponsorship, which brings in about €5.5 million.
According to AD, who also mention Germany's Hamburger SV as another potential target for Castore, the potential deal would bring in "more than 2.5 million extra" compared to the existing deal between Adidas and Feyenoord.
A big money injection that would come in more than handy for the Eredivisie club, which recently reported a loss of €4 million.
Signing a deal with Feyenoord would make a lot of sense for Castore, who have previously stated plans to sign clubs outside the UK. In case you missed it, Castore are set to add the likes of Aston Villa, Leverkusen and Sevilla to their roster next season.
