Decathlon To Make Official Ligue 1 Ball

The French Ligue de Football Professionnel (Professional Football League - LFP) yesterday announced a new partnership agreement with Kipsta, the soccer brand of the Decathlon Group. Decathlon replaces Uhlsport.

Decathlon SA is a French sporting goods retailer known for its competitive prices. Decathlon has more than 300 stores in France and more than 1,000 worldwide, particularly in Africa and Asia. With the deal, Decathlon will enable French professional soccer to spread throughout the world.

Since 2009 (the year since which there has been a league-wide supplier for the balls), the Ligue 1 footballs have been made by Puma (2009-2012), Adidas (2012-2017), and Uhlsport (2017-2022).
