Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Germany international Julian Weigl was spotted wearing unusual blackout boots in training today, instead of his usual choice, the Nike Hypervenom Phinish.

Whereas some people suggested that the defensive midfielder was wearing Adidas cleats, we can reveal that the football boots worn by Weigl are in fact a blackout variant of the next generation of the Puma evoPOWER. Thus, the spot suggests that the player could be joining Puma after several years with Nike, possibly from the start of next year.

The next generation of the evoPOWER, dubbed 'Puma evoPOWER Vigor 1', introduce a number of changes from the current iteration. They feature a tongue-less construction and a new lacing system that looks similar to that of the Adidas X 16.1 on first look.
