Update 06/06/15: Adidas just revealed new unique prototypes of the new Adidas X Boots, which were presented at a special event of the revolutionary Adidas Football Boots ahead of the Champions League Final.
The Adidas Football Revolution launch event took place at Chelsea's Cobham Training Ground earlier this week. Last week, Nike already showed off various unique Nike Hypervenom 2 Prototype Soccer Cleats, while Adidas now follows suit and presents unique Adidas X Football Prototype Boots.
Adidas Reveal Adidas Ace and Adidas X Prototype Cleats
This pictures shows an early Adidas X Prototype Cleat.
The blackout Adidas X Prototype Boot features an one-piece upper, which boasts a similar look as carbon-fibre. The black-out Adidas X Prototype also features the trademark techfit collar, while it lacks the new Adidas X-Cage in the midfoot area.
Most remarkably, the second Adidas X 15.1 Prototype Cleat features the lettering "Chaos Fun Hi" on the external cage. Adidas Chaos High was the working title used during the development of the Adidas X 15.1 Cleats, while the other Adidas X Boot versions featured the production titles Adidas Chaos Mid (Adidas X 15.2) and Adidas Chaos Low (Adidas X 15.3).
Interestingly, we already leaked a blackout Adidas X 2015-2016 Prototype Boot in early 2015, which was quite similar to the final design of the Adidas X 15.1 Boots. This shows how long it takes from the first prototypes to the final product.
Check out also the Adidas X 15 Boots Documentary. The 5-minute Adidas X Soccer Cleats Documentary shows the design process of the new Adidas 2015-2016 X Soccer Cleat from early prototypes to the final product, which is hand-made for Adidas athletes such as Luis Suarez and Thomas Müller in the Adidas Lab in Scheinfeld (Germany). Thanks to SoccerBible for the pictures.
