Alex Morgan Gives Best Look Yet At Next-Gen Nike Hypervenom Phantom III

As it's already well-documented, the third generation of the Nike Hypervenom and with it the Nike Hypervenom Phantom III will be released early next year.

Quite a few professionals have given the new wheels a runout on the training pitch already and recently they were joined by US women's national team star Alex Morgan, who probably gave us the best look at them yet. Thanks to @JonathanL58 for the hint.

Alex Morgan Trains in Unreleased Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3

This is a close-up of the boots worn by Morgan in training.

Entirely blacked-out, Morgan's boots offer us the first real glimpse at the outside of the Nike Hypervenom 3. We can see an interesting pattern structure on the sides, possibly incorporating Flywire strings.

Additionally, the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 appears to feature an external heel counter, shaped somewhat like what's used on the Puma evoSPEED and the Mizuno Morelia NEO. The first two generations of the Nike Hypervenom did not feature external heel protection.

The Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 will be the first-ever Hypervenom to have a full Flyknit upper, which should aid fit, responsiveness and weight.

The Nike Hypervenom Phantom III will be released in a very bold green and pink colorway in February 2017.
