Adidas x Gucci Campaign Features Pogba, Gnabry, Bellingham and Alaba
The collaboration between the sportswear and high fashion giants was first shown off to the world last September and the items will be available from the 7th of June. The vast array of pieces take inspiration from Adidas' sporting heritage, fused with Gucci's luxury craftsmanship to create a colourful, preppy-looking collection, with more than a hint of 70's style thrown into the mix.
Adidas' trefoil logo is generously applied across the range, as are Gucci's red and green stripes, with the Italian fashion house's monogramming another prominent feature. It will consist of a wide range of pieces from track tops to flared trousers, with knitted polo shirts, bucket hats and the Adidas Gazelle in various colourways, among other pieces.
Many photos have already been released but the for the latest shoot, Adidas enlisted some of their top football players to help with the promotion. Pogba, Alaba, Bellingham and Gnabry were seemingly considered the most stylish, fashion-conscious or marketable players for such a campaign, as Lionel Messi or Mo Salah would surely have been included if status in the football world was the main criteria for selection. Hopefully Jesse Lingard won't take his exclusion as another slight.
