Following up on our post about how Champions League winners Liverpool appear in PES 2020, we wanted to take things a bit further now that the full game is out.
Here's how the best 10 teams in Europe, according to the UEFA rankings, feature in the game.
Real Madrid CF
Real Madrid appear as "Madrid Chamartin B" in the game, which is a new name - previously they were "MD White". For eFootball PES 2020, Konami has updated the fake names, which are a bit more natural now.
Club Atlético de Madrid
A similar case can be observed with Atlético, who are called "Madrid Rosas RB" in PES 2020.

Manchester City FC
Manchester City are "Manchester B" in PES 2020. Their kits don't really resemble the club's current season attire by Puma but they are easily recognizable from afar anyway.

In total, just four out of these ten teams are unlicensed in PES, a good quote. This ratio remains largely the same when taking into account the teams further down the ranks.
However, the entire Bundesliga apart from Bayern and Schalke are not in PES at all, not even with fake names. Most of the Premier League and La Liga are unlicensed and feature fake names.
There's also plenty of options available in terms of patches that correct the wrong team names and kits and bring this part of the game up to standard.
In other news, PES 2020 includes almost all European national teams fully licensed.
