Following up on the red and white launch colorway, Adidas today released an even classier, predominantly black Copa 17 boot. Closely following the look of the original Copa Mundial, the black Adidas Copa 17 soccer boots form part of the Adidas Chequered Black collection.
Adidas Copa 17.1 - Core Black / White / Red
This image shows the stunning black, white and red Adidas Copa 2017 football boots from the Adidas Chequered Black pack.
Closely inspired by the original Adidas Copa Mundial, the black Adidas Copa 17.1 cleats are black with white a white outsole, white Adidas stripes on both sides and more white detailing on the heel. Red accents, present in the form of brandings and a graphic print on the sole plate, round off this instant-classic look of the second Adidas Copa 17 boots, part of the Chequered Black collection.
Tech-wise, the black and white Adidas Chequered Black Copa 2017 soccer boots have a kangaroo-leather upper for the most part, with only the very rear being an exception and made of synthetic leather. Other key features of the new Adidas Copa 17 cleats include a fold-over compression tongue and an Ortholite sockliner.
Last but not least, the sole plate of the Adidas Copa 2017 football boots is almost identical to that of the Adidas Ace, with the biggest difference probably being the visual design. It has eleven conical studs aligned in a classic set-up, as well as an arch in the midfoot area for increased stability.
Part of the Adidas Chequered Black football boot collection, the black Adidas Copa 17.1 boots were launched in early January 2017. They retail at $200 (€200, £150). We've been told that, similar to what Nike had been doing with the Tiempo, this specific colorway will remain in Adidas' lineup for longer than a regular colorway.
