Adidas said that the Adidas Ace PureControl Boot has been already a 'huge success with players of all levels' and that the 'early sales of world's first high performance laceless boot break previous records for Adidas'. However, while the German brand also disclosed that the demand for the boots reached such high levels that they saw what traditionally equates to three months of stock being sold in the space of just seven days, Adidas failed to say how many pairs of the cleats were sold in the first eight days.

3 months' worth of sales in first seven days

Adidas also announced that 'the only locations fans can still get their hands on the boots are a limited number of Adidas concept stores – Oxford Street, London; Champs Elysees, Paris; Market Street, Manchester and Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona.' as online retailers across Europe completely sold out within days of the first release.

Did you expect that the Adidas Ace PureControl Boot would be so popular, despite the extremely high price tag (300 USD - more expensive than any of Nike's football boots)?
