Mar 26, 2025: Following widespread rumors, Austrian giants SK Rapid Wien have officially announced their brand-new, long-term kit supplier partnership with Japanese sportswear brand Mizuno.
The new deal means Rapid will officially part ways with current supplier Puma and retail partner 11teamsports at the end of the 2025-2026 season, concluding a five-year relationship.
Starting from the 2026-27 season, the iconic Mizuno 'RunBird' logo will grace the famous green and white shirts. This marks a historic milestone for the club, as Mizuno will be Rapid Wien's first-ever non-European kit supplier.
The comprehensive agreement will run for five years (until the end of the 2030-31 season) and covers the supply of match kits, training wear, and off-field apparel for all club tiers, from the youth academy to the first teams and the Special Needs team.
Mizuno's professional football operations in Europe are managed by their partner, Future Performance Sport (SG), who will oversee the design and manufacturing of the new Rapid kits.
Oct 1, 2025: SK Rapid Wien is set to end their kit deal with Puma at the end of the season and will reportedly join forces with Japanese brand Mizuno. According to Kurier, Rapid were unhappy with Puma’s inflexible ordering system, which recently caused issues with restocking the club’s all-white third kit.
