Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce are set to continue with current kit supplier Adidas, at least for one more season, as per a report of Esvaphane.
It was earlier reported that the two clubs are on the search for new suppliers, with the likes of New Balance and Nike linked, because Adidas was unwilling to renew their respective deals, which both end after this season.
It's likely that Adidas' decision was heavily influenced by the massive losses of value of the Turkish lira, which results in less profitable operations for manufacturers whose prices were set with a more valuable lira in mind.
Although there were rather concrete news reports, it's now stated that neither Besiktas or Fenerbahce were successful in their pursuit of a new kit brand. As the new season approached, they are said to have turned back to Adidas and be able to strike a deal. No details about this new deal are available. It's probable that it will only run for one season and that conditions for Adidas will be better than currently. For one, the retail prices are reported to be at least 260 TL ($50) for Besiktas, and likely also Fenerbahce.
