Konami Announces UEFA Euro 2020 License For PES 2020

Konami this morning announced an exclusive partnership with UEFA that will see Euro 2020 added to the game in the form of a DLC next year.

As UEFA celebrates the 60th anniversary of the first edition of the Euro, the 2020 tournament will see 24 teams battle it out across Europe for the first time ever. Matches will be played in 12 countries, with the semi-finals and final to be played in Wembley.

The PES Euro 2020 DLC, which is "planned for release in spring 2020", will bring "every national teams’ kits, official balls and the hosting stadium that will also be faithfully recreated in the game." This sounds like we'll get all 24 teams and most if not all 12 stadiums in the game - it has to be noted, however, that the Euro 2016 DLC, released for PES 2016, did not include any stadiums outside of the Stade de France.

To top things off UEFA's brand-new eSports tournament, the "UEFA eEURO 2020" will be played on eFootball PES 2020. More details on that are set to follow.
