Spanish brand Joma today revealed the second generation of the Joma Super Copa Football Boots. And while the top model of the first generation of the Joma Super Copa Soccer Boot was the Joma Super Copa Speed Boot, the new top model of the Joma Super Copa Boots is now called Joma Super Copa Mundial.
In 2014, Joma revealed the first-ever of the Joma Super Copa Speed Boot. Made for players who look for a cost-effective top-tier model, the first-gen Joma Super Copa Soccer Boots has a low weight point (220g) and a thin microfiber upper, retailing at a price of just 74 USD (65 Euro, 70 GBP).
Joma Super Copa Mundial - Orange / Yellow / White / Black
This is the first launch colorway of the all-new Joma Super Copa Mundial Cleats.
Combining the main colors orange and yellow, the launch paint job of the Joma Super Copa Mundial boasts a half-and-half design that will be seen on all colorways of the lightweight speed boots. However, whereas other brands such as Nike and Umbro opt for a clean upper design for their speed cleats, the Joma Super Copa 2016 Football Boot comes with a quite squiggly design on the upper that looks a bit childish.
Apart from the half-and-half design and the quite childish upper graphics, the other parts of the Joma Super Copa 2016 Cleat are pretty standard. The boot features the famous branding of the Spanish company on the outstep and the instep. To round off the design of the first launch colorway, Joma combines the colorful main color scheme with black and white.
Like the first generation of the Joma Super Copa, the next-gen Joma Super Copa 2016 Football Shoes are again made for speed with a lightweight concept.
The second-gen Joma Super Copa Boot features a lightweight Fibertec microfiber upper, while the inner parts of the upper are made of ultra-stable nylon that has a resistance fraction of 800N / 50mm (however this compares to other boots).
Weighing in at 215 gram, the Joma Super Copa Mundial Boot is slightly lighter than the first generation (220 gram). The Joma Super Copa Mundial 2016 Boots comes with a standard EVA insole and a texon and PVC insole.
The outsole of the Joma Super Copa Mundial Boots is also pretty standard and has a stud configuration that reminds us of the one used for the Nike Tiempo Legend (mostly conical studs with two almost rectangular cleats in the front area).
The Joma Super Copa Mundial Boot will be available as FG (Firm Ground), AG (Artificial Grass), SG (Soft Ground) and TF (Turf) version. The Joma Super Copa 2016 Boot is again made for players who look for a top-tier model at low cost, even though no retail price is known yet. However, it is already known that their will be two different models of the next-gen Joma Super Copa Boots (Joma Super Copa Mundial - New high-end model; Joma Super Copa Speed - Now Second-Tier Model).
But Joma did not only reveal one launch paint job, the Spanish did not hesitate and also released a second colorway for the Joma Super Mundial 2016 Boots.
Joma Super Copa Mundial - White / Black / Red
This is the second launch colorway of the Joma Super Copa 2016 Boot.
Combining the main colors black and white with red, the second launch paint job of the next-gen Joma Super Copa Cleats is our favorite. However, the only thing that we don't like is again the squiggly graphic design on the upper (especially that on the instep - a no-go for us).
What's your verdict on the next-generation Joma Super Copa Speed Boot and the two launch paint jobs? Let us know in the comments below (and if you don't like both of the first colorways, we can already reveal that plenty of other colors will follow in the coming months).
