The long-sleeve version of Portugal's 2022 World Cup home kit does not look like Nike would have wanted it, due to FIFA Equipment Regulations.
It was Cristiano Ronaldo who debuted the long-sleeve version of Portugal's 2022 World Cup home kit in the UEFA Nations League match against Spain last Tuesday, September 27.
Portugal Long-Sleeved 2022 World Cup Shirt Breaks the Continuous Triangle Concept - Differently Colored Sleeves Banned by FIFA & UEFA
Portugal's home kit should show off the Portuguese flag with a diagonal line mimicking the flag wrapped around the body. However, this does not work with the long-sleeve version of the shirt.
UEFA have the same one-color sleeve rule as FIFA
As visible in the pictures, the right sleeve of Cristiano Ronaldo's kit is totally red except a small part at the bottom. If matching the design idea, the right sleeve would must have been all-green from the middle to the bottom. However, this is not allowed by FIFA & UEFA.
As per FIFA Equipment Regulations (Article 6.3), "The Sleeves must be the same color(s) as each other". Football kits are not allowed to have differently colored sleeves.
We imagined how the not-allowed long-sleeve version would look like - it would have been a beauty, and we don't see any problem with kit clashes with it.

The Nike Portugal 2022 home jersey is predominantly red ('Pepper Red'), combined with green in a diagonal design a la Monaco and yellow-golden logos ('Gold Dart').
In contrast, the short-sleeve version continues the diagonal design on the sleeves.
