The adidas Adizero f50 99 gram Football Boot
The upper of the adidas Adizero 99 gram boot is not made from synthetic leather like the normal adidas boots but from a single textile layer made from polyester mesh. The material used can 'withstand the requisite abrasion and forms around the foot too', said Antonio Zea, the adidas football director. Adidas tested more than 60 different materials to find the perfect material which is both light and stable.
The outsole of the 99g Adizero F50 Boot is not made of the usual Sprintframe but from polyamide which is very thin but gives the boot the needed stiffness. The stud configuration is similar to the triangle studs used for the adidas Adizero III boots. The adidas Adizero 99g Boot will likely be available in a very limited edition in 2015.
Adidas today also released a video showing some footage of this amazing next-generation football boot. Bayern Münchens player David Alaba features in the video playing with the 99g Adizero boot.
