Bolton Wanders today announced the agreement of a deal with Macron to become the club's official kit supplier starting in 2014-15 for at least four years. Additionally to the shirt sponsorship, the deal with Macron includes the naming rights for Bolton's stadium, currently 'Reebok Stadium'. The stadium will be renamed as 'Macron Stadium' from July 2014.
Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside said: "This is an extremely exciting and beneficial deal for our club. We will be proud to carry the Macron brand on our stadium and official merchandise for the coming seasons. We have been very impressed with their passion for football and their ideas to grow our partnership.
The deal will run for an initial four years, with the club having the option to extend thereafter.
Bolton have had a long-term partnership with Reebok, which was founded in the town. In fact the combined shirt sponsorhip (1990-2009) and kit supply (1993-2012) deals covering a total of 22 years are the longest kit partnership in English football.
When Reebok, which became a part of Adidas in 2006, stepped out of the football business, Adidas became the official Bolton Wanderes kit supplier in 2012.
