The idea is simple. Argentinian graphic designer Franco C has created unique national team concept jerseys for twelve nations sponsored by Adidas combining a non-traditional color and a unique graphic pattern, which draws inspiration from each country.
National teams usually receive only home and away kits - with very few exceptions such as Brazil. And even though many countries such as Germany (green) and Spain (white) used to have traditional away kit colors, Adidas has introduced totally new color combinations breaking up with the history and tradition of each federation to make a statement.
Franco's work shows that it would be better to experiment with third kits for national teams, but maintain the iconic colors of the home and away shirts - but that will likely never happen.
