Since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (2023 AFCON) is kicking off on January 13, 2024, we want to take a look at what kits will be on display at the tournament hosted by Ivory Coast. It is the 34th edition of the event, having been postponed from summer of 2023 due to weather concerns.
Out of the 24 national teams, Puma supplies by far the most with 6. Lacatoni are the only other brand to outfit more than one team, meaning there are 18 different manufacturers in total. This kind of brand diversity is rare to see, especially considering Puma make up a quarter of the shares.
The big brands - Adidas, Nike, and Puma - won't release new kits for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. There is a small chance that Puma will bring out new looks, but apparently, Puma opted for new anthem jackets and off-pitch styles only. These were released in Fall 2023.
