New Hulk Boots | Next-Gen Mizuno Morelia Neo 2 2016 Boots Leaked

Update: Mizuno is set to release the second generation of the Mizuno Morelia Neo Football Boots. The boot retails at the same price as before and is already worn by Brazil's Hulk and South Korea's Rim Chang-woo.

Japanese brand Mizuno is on the verge of launching the second generation of the Mizuno Morelia Neo Football Boots after the first generation of the lightweight Kangaroo leather speed boots was revealed almost five years ago. The next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II 2016 Soccer Boots have many things in common with the inaugural version of the lightweight speed silo (big thanks to Só Chuteiras for the hint and Tradesport for the info).

Next-Gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II - Diva Blue / Safety Yellow / White

This is the second-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo 2016 Football Boot.

Combining a super soft Kangaroo leather in the forefoot area with a synthetic leather-like material in the heel area, the next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II 2016 Soccer Boot is again made for ultimate touch, lightweight and speed. So, as the boots look very similar to the first-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo not only at first glance, what are the major differences between both generations?

Whereas the first generation of the Mizuno Morelia Neo Boot was already extremely light for a K-leather boot (180 gram), the second-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II Boot is expected to be even lighter. The Kangaroo leather upper in the forefoot area is thinner to offer more flexibility, while the other parts of the upper including the heel area are almost identical to the first generation. The other big differences hide in the sole plate.

The Pebax sole plate uses softer compounds than the previous generation for additional comfort, and the external heel counter is also more rounded. The outsole has been updated as well to provide more comfort and stability, while the studs are slightly more edged for better traction and more speed.

The design of the boots is almost identical to the one introduced for the first generation. The next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II 2016 Soccer Boot comes with Mizuno's famous Runbird logo on the outstep and the instep, while the heel area boasts the lettering Morelia Neo. The next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II Boot will be launched with a flashy Diva Blue, Safety Yellow and White paint job, while neither a retail price nor a launch date was officially revealed yet.

But Mizuno will not only release one version for the next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo Football Boots, the renowned Japanese company will also present a special Kangaroo leather edition of their cutting-edge speed boot.

Next-Gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II K-Leather Edition AG - Diva Blue / Safety Yellow / White

This is the special K-Leather edition of the next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo.

The Kangaroo leather edition of the Mizuno Morelia Neo II Boots is Mizuno's new model for artificial grass.

The Mizuno Morelia Neo II Kangaroo Leather Boot has a super soft Kangaroo leather in the front and heel area for ultimate comfort. Compared to the synthetic FG model, the next-gen Mizuno Morelia Neo II AG Kangaroo Leather Boot comes without an external heel counter to provide more comfort, while the special AG sole plate features 24 rounded studs (The FG model has 13 studs).

Nor a retail price and neither a release date were announced yet.

Mizuno yet again does not change their well-working concept. What's your first verdict on the next-generation Mizuno Morelia Neo 2 2016 Soccer Boots?
