Adidas will bring back the iconic 2006 World Cup "Teamgeist" template in a spectacular new collection for their "Elite" teams, set to be launched around the turn of the year.
Adidas 2006 Template
Used across all of the brand's teams at the 2006 World Cup, the Teamgeist template featured decorative paneling on the sides as well as the collar. There were a few slight variations of the template that were then also used by Adidas' club tmeas in the following 2006-07 season, including the likes of Liverpool, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

Now, the template will return for Adidas' current pool of top teams (Arsenal, Bayern, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid) with a design that stays true to the original in a collection including jerseys as well as tracksuits.
Interestingly, Adidas and Palace teamed up for a hugely successul Juventus capsule collection that also included training jeryeys and a track suit closely inspired by the 2006 template back in late 2019. Perhaps Adidas saw the popularity of those designs as an inspiration to bring it back more prominently and in a less limited way in 2022.
