Everton will present a new sleeve sponsor to replace Angry after the three-year deal signed in 2017 recently expired.
Debut Against Manchester United: Everton Sign Angry Birds Sleeve Sponsor Deal
According to a report in the Liverpool Echo from late May, Everton's talks with Rovio Entertainment, the Finnish gaming company that owns the Angry Birds franchise, broke down. The previous deal brought in around £3m per season.
The recent 20-21 home kit launch seems to confirm this: while new main sponsor Cazoo appears on the front of the jersey, the sleeve is blank (for now).
Again, via the Echo story, Everton are currently in talks with several other potential sleeve sponsors. This means that there will be three new brands displayed on the 2020-21 kits: Hummel as supplier instead of Umbro, Cazoo instead of SportPesa and the new sleeve sponsor instead of Angry Birds.
While there are no concrete rumors yet, it could be possibly that one of Everton owner Alisher Usmanov's companies could take over. Both USM and MegaFon already are official club partners, with the former additionally inking a £30m naming rights option deal for the proposed new stadium.
Russian telcom MegaFon already appears as sleeve sponsor on the Everton training kits.
